Answers to your most common questions.
Why do I need an interior designer?

The advice and guidance given by an interior designer is invaluable and can prevent costly mistakes. Designers are skilled and have the experience to make sure you achieve your goals. Not only that, but they also have access to “trade only” venues and services which will provide more choices and quality items for you, the client.

How do I get started?

Once you have decided that you would like to hire a designer, the first step is to schedule a consultation.

What is the process?

During our consultation, we will discuss generals and specifics of the project. Think about colors, styles and effects you like.

  • Know what you want to accomplish, what the room or house should do for you when finished.
  • Should it be formal or casual, traditional or contemporary?
  • Know your objective and lifestyle needs.
  • Establish a time frame in which you would like to work.
  • Have a budget in mind and be honest about it. Having a ballpark figure is a good start.
What should I have at our first meeting for my project?

Collect clippings from magazines and photos of items and decors that appeal to you. Or, we can set up a Pinterest board of your ideas.

How do I establish a budget?

If you don’t already have a budget in mind, during our consultation, we will discuss costs and what is realisitc for your project.

What do you charge for a consultation?

The cost for a one hour consultation is $100. I charge this for my knowledge and expertise. Since I am a professional, my input gives you the best opportunity to achieve your goals in a timely fashion and will actually save you in the long run.

Do we need to use your contractor or architect?

While I can provide you with qualified professionals if you need them, it is not necessary. You are more than welcome to provide your own.

Is any project too small?

No, I am more than happy to provide you with my services no matter how big or small your needs.

What sets you apart?

Firstly, I believe I have an innate ability to see things before they exist. Therefore, I can look at a room and envision its future. Next, I love to put colors together in new and exciting ways. However, if you’re a color-phob, I can certainly design a beautiful room in monochromatic fashion, as well. Lastly, my experience as an antique dealer allows me a unique perspective in styles and fashions that occurred throughout the past few decades. This allows me to design in various different styles, no matter your taste.
